May 2026 – Redstone, together with the think tank AlpMomentum, the Technical University of Munich and the University of Trier, releases the third edition of the Redstone University Startup Index. If every European academic institution matched the entrepreneurial efficiency of its top 10% peers, the continent could unlock an additional €9 trillion in equity value over the next decade.

June 2025 – Today, the European venture capital firm Redstone, together with RWTH Aachen University and the think tank AlpMomentum, publishes a new edition of the Redstone University Startup Index: Europe’s Trillion Euro Opportunity. This updated study builds on last year’s analysis and examines in even greater depth the entrepreneurial output and potential of European universities.

This study assesses European universities' role in driving economic growth through startups. It highlights significant disparities in startup creation efficiency among universities and suggests enhanced entrepreneurship education and support systems to leverage untapped economic potential across Europe.

In partnership with Allianz, we at Redstone delved into startup innovations within specific regions, unveiling the revolutionary role of AI in art. At Art Düsseldorf, we presented these generated images.

The study from Redstone reveals that German retirees, in particular, largely miss out on the substantial success of German and European start-ups, while their US counterparts benefit significantly.
