What brought you to Redstone and when did you start?
I have spent the last 7+ years in the startup space and joined Redstone for the first time in 2017 as a member of the Investment Team. After 2.5 years, I decided to switch to the other side of the table and co-founded a startup in the Proptech space where I was COO and responsible for product development as well as go-to-market. Fast forward 1.5 years, I found myself joining Redstone again to build our Social Impact fund.
What are your main responsibilities in the team?
I manage our Social Impact strategy focused on European early-stage investments in Health, Living, and EdTech. My responsibilities include deal-making, portfolio management as well as investor relations.
What innovation will change the future in a positive way?
I believe that innovation is key to overcoming the most urgent challenges in our society ranging from the environment to health and education. Venture Capital plays a key role to support and accelerate critical and impactful innovation and the main reason why I love what I do - we can truly create an impact and contribute to positive change.
How do you relax/clear your mind?
I have two main passions that help me to stay balanced and blow off steam: sports and music. Sports have always played a major role in my life, particularly in my adolescence when I competed at the national level in both triathlon and mid-distance running. Today, I still am an ambitious runner, regularly completing (half) marathons. I also have a sweet spot for electronic music (mainly 90’s house, techno, and trance) and am spending way too much time digging records to play during one of my DJ sets.
Whats your favorite lifehack to share?
As simple as it is: getting enough sleep. Try to follow a similar sleep schedule throughout the week: go to bed at the same time and log in 7-8 hours of sleep every night. This proved to be absolutely game-changing for my energy level throughout the day.
